The Hunger Games universe

In the Hunger Games, North America was replaced with a big country named Panem. It is divided into 13 parts, Capitol and 12 Districts. Most of the Districts suffer from hunger, excpet from the 1st, 2nd and 4th. The Hunger Games are an annual event in which one boy and one girl aged 12 to 18 from each of the 12 districts are selected by lottery to compete in a televised battle, which only one person can survive. The story is written in the voice of a 16 year old Katniss Everdeen, who is played by Jennifer Lawrence in the movie.
Her partner from the district is Peeta Mellark, who is played by Josh Hutcherson.
As I said, there is only one winner, but fortunately, Katniss found a way to make them both win. If you want to know how, watch the movie.
